One Platform, One Care Ecosystem: Why Medbridge Ditched Point Solutions for Smarter, More Connected Care

Remember when Netflix jumped from DVDs to streaming and ushered in a new revolution of entertainment? Soon Hulu joined in, followed by Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, AppleTV+, Disney+, Paramount…you get the idea. Cable’s iron grip on home entertainment was finally relinquished, and in its place were a dozen streaming options. What started as a revolutionary hub for home entertainment became a fragmented mess that limited consumers based on how many different subscriptions they could afford.

But now, it almost feels inevitable that smaller platforms like Tubi, PlutoTV, and MGM+ will eventually get swallowed up into larger ecosystems until only a few mega-streaming hubs remain in a media environment that feels an awful lot like…cable TV.

Digital healthcare has undergone a similar cycle. Point solutions for home exercise programs, remote therapeutic monitoring, CEUs, clinician training, and patient education are everywhere, fragmenting education and digital care tools across potentially dozens of platforms. And in an industry that requires both interoperability and transparency to function at its best, this has created a tangled web that's more mess than help.

Reimagining connected care on a single platform

That’s a lesson we’ve had to learn here at Medbridge, too. We offer industry-leading products like HEP, Pathways, and clinical education that work well, and are trusted and relied upon by millions of healthcare providers. So why were we making it more difficult for our customers to use them, when we can just offer a single unified care solution?

That question is what led us to Medbridge One Care.

One Care is our new comprehensive movement-based-medicine platform that works for every care model. One Care was built to unite fragmented systems by bringing our trusted HEP, Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs), Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM), and our innovative guided Pathways together into a single, seamless experience.

Why the change? Hybrid care is no longer a futuristic goal—it’s here today. Healthcare organizations don’t need another point solution; they need a single connected platform that bridges digital touchpoints with in-person care and AI-powered tools with the human touch.

That’s because traditional tools and experiences are no longer enough to keep up with the challenges facing the industry today.

Industry challenges become real-world clinical obstacles

Healthcare is evolving faster than ever—and with that evolution comes real pressure. Clinics and health systems face shifting reimbursement models: reimbursements are under downward pressure, operational and regulatory demands are multiplying, and organizations are being pushed to rethink how they generate revenue just to stay competitive. The stakes are high—adapt or risk falling behind.

At the same time, patients expect digital, on-demand experiences. The AI revolution is arriving in healthcare, reshaping how care can be delivered, tracked, and personalized. Organizations that don’t innovate risk losing patients who are used to seamless digital interactions in every other aspect of their lives.

Adding to the challenge are workforce shortages and access constraints. Long wait times—30 days or more for many appointments—leave patients frustrated and clinicians stretched thin. Burnout is rising, and the U.S. faces a shortfall of 12,000 therapists. Clinics cannot simply hire their way out of these challenges; they need scalable solutions that extend clinician capacity without adding headcount.

In short, healthcare organizations are being pulled in multiple directions and it’s time to adapt to new financial realities, meet modern patient expectations, and overcome workforce limitations—all at the same time.

These challenges might feel overwhelming, but One Care is here to help.

A single platform that delivers smarter, more connected care at scale

With One Care, clinicians can deliver personalized, evidence-based care through trusted Home Exercise Programs and Digital Care Pathways—at scale, across every care setting. These care programs are augmented by Remote Therapeutic Monitoring and Patient-Reported Outcomes to help support patients from first touch to full recovery.

No two patients are the same, and that’s why we’ve designed our comprehensive platform to help deliver the right level of care to every patient with one flexible, easy-to-use platform.

Three care plans from medbridge: home exercise, C-section recovery, and fall prevention, representing digital healthcare.

From pediatrics to geriatrics, Medbridge One Care supports a wide range of patient populations with evidence-based home programs. Clinicians can easily tailor exercises and education to meet each patient’s unique needs, driving better outcomes and higher satisfaction. We know it works, too—according to internal Medbridge data, 43 percent of patients who receive Medbridge’s digital Home Exercise Program log in within the first two hours, and 58 percent engage within the first two days. Additionally, 86 percent of patients report being satisfied with their Pathways experience, and 70 percent of patients report a reduction in pain within 30 days.

Join us on the journey for smarter, more connected care

Healthcare is complex, fast-moving, and full of competing pressures, but it doesn’t have to be fragmented. At its core, One Care is about connection: helping providers navigate reimbursement challenges, meet patient expectations, and extend clinician capacity—all without sacrificing quality or personal connection.

With a single, unified platform, providers can bridge digital and in-person care, combine AI-powered tools with the human touch, and empower clinicians to deliver personalized, evidence-based care at scale. One Care is not just a platform; it’s a partner for clinicians, patients, and organizations—helping everyone move forward with smarter, more connected, and more compassionate care.
