Virginia Bowen

Virginia Bowen is a clinical and evidence-based practice educator and DPT with more than 20 years of physical therapy and education experience. She is passionate about creating engaging and relevant programs that support clinicians reaching their highest potential in both personal and professional positions.
In Virginia’s current role as a rehab education coordinator, she provides education for therapists and nurses in the home health setting. She assists in the development of their roles and facilitates opportunities for professional growth. Previously, Virginia worked as a physical therapy supervisor and clinical manager for a home health agency. In her 20 years of experience, she has acquired a vast array of skills, including podcasting, Epic proficiency, simulation creation, team building, culture transformation, clinical reasoning development, education, and public speaking.
Virginia also presents continuing education courses on evidence-based practices for rehabilitation professionals and nurses in the home health setting. Presentation topics include chronic disease management, fall prevention, a day in the life of a home health therapist, assessing lab values, and pharmacology for rehabilitation professionals. Virginia is an adjunct professor, teaching pharmacology for physical therapy students.
Virginia received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin and her DPT from the College of Saint Scholastica. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and of the geriatric, cardiopulmonary, and home health sections.
