I See You: Caregiver Health Literacy and Health Education
Presented by Amber Richardson
Description
Informal caregivers are increasingly important in the landscape of healthcare across all settings. The demands of caregiving are vast, and as caregivers navigate increasingly complex medical systems, they require customized education that is informed by their health literacy needs and considers how their needs and the needs of the care recipient interact. Caregivers face unique challenges and demands in supporting the wellness of the person they care for in addition to their own wellness. This caregiver-focused webinar will help healthcare professionals, including PTs, OTs, SLPs, RNs, and related fields, to effectively communicate with and support caregivers, address their health literacy needs, empower them to provide high-quality care to care recipients, and reduce caregiving burden.
